Happy New Year!  May all your wishes, dreams and hopes come true in 2014, my friends!  Ok, so we are two weeks into 2014 already . . . and some more days too!  Hello . . . where have I been?  I am alive and definitely not in hiding . . . just a bit late.  I do have a good excuse though!  I have been doing some cleaning up.

Yes, I have been busy cleaning.  A Clean Start!  2014 is going to be different, new and exciting.  Can you feel my enthusiasm?  Well, I am so ready to start a new year!  What better way than with a cleanse . . . to free from dirt, defilement, or guilt; purge or clean.

A three day cleanse!  Which in reality is a 9 day cleanse because there is the 3 day pre cleanse and the 3 day post cleanse.  Currently, I am on my second day post cleanse and feeling great!  Almost done . . . victory!  So now you want to know the details, right?  What does this cleanse look like?  Here’s the basics . . .

3 Days Pre Cleanse . . . basically cut out everything except fruits, vegetables and gluten-free grains.  Try drinking loads of herbal teas and plenty of water.

3 Days of Juicing . . . I drank 3 types of juices during the day and the evening was a homemade nut milk smoothie.

3 Days Post Cleanse . . . slowly work your way back onto normal food with emphasis on raw fruits and vegetables.

So . . . you might just be wondering why I decided to do a juice cleanse?  Actually, I did it to help someone very dear to me.  Yes, I recommend you do it with someone else.  It simply is easier with a “juicing partner”.  But my intention was to help us by re-setting our bodies and simply letting them rest.  Yes, allowing our bodies to heal by simply slowing down.

Everyday, I also incorporated other cleansing practices like dry brushing my body, doing pranayama techniques and yoga, taking lavender salt baths and sleeping a bit more.  Interestingly, this cleanse was not just a physical cleanse but a rather emotional cleanse too!  Amazing how an intention to cleanse my body can lead to cleansing so much more . . . even my spirit!  Truly uplifting!

2014 is starting out NEW & CLEAN!  And if you haven’t noticed yet . . . I have been developing a new website.  Tell your friends . . . share it, link it, pass it on!

To a Happy New Year . . . one cleansing practice at a time!  Hugs, M.
