Transitioning Into Fall

With the Fall Equinox just two weeks away, I wanted to share a few tips for transitioning into the next season.
*Eat Seasonally
As Fall approaches begin transitioning to a warmer diet. Emphasis on squashes, dark leafy greens, apples, pears and cooked legumes. Make soups, roast vegetables and add warming spices to your foods.
*Focus On Routines
During transitional times, you benefit from staying grounded.  It helps to create and stick to an exercise routine. Also, place importance on self-care practices.
*Deepen Your Relationships
Fall is a time to connect and gather with friends, family and community.
*Connect With Nature
Experience the natural changes that are taking place during the season.  Enjoy the changing scenery of the season.
*Rest
Make sure you get plenty of rest.  You want to be prepared for the busy holiday season ahead.
To transitioning into Fall . . . one tip at a time!  Hugs, M.
