Gratitude comes from the Latin word gratia meaning grace, graciousness or gratefulness. Too often, myself included, we can get caught up in the negative, only see what is missing in our lives, focus on what we do not have or not have enough of. This pattern of thinking and feeling actually makes us miss all the beauty and wonder in our lives. It doesn’t allow us to be in the present. We have a choice to feel grateful or to feel defeated. You can, many times, pick your own response to your life and your experiences. So today, I hope to remind you all to reflect on the goodness in your life. Today being Thanksgiving . . . I urge you all to give thanks to yourself, your life and all those in your life . . . with two simple words, “Thank You!”
To finding your gratitude . . . one “Thank You” at a time! Hugs, M.
