DIY: Pumpkin Spiced Latte

Seriously, FOG . . . all day forecasted!

Have you ever woken up to a blah day?  No, a really blah day?  Of course, you have.  Good, I am not alone here in my mood.

Well, today, quite literally, the fog is surrounding me . . . rather thickly.   I am waking these past few mornings in darkness.  The days are beginning to shorten and this darkness encircles me.  It is hard considering I am that girl who LOVES summer.  That girl who is always searching for sunbeams and warmth . . . that’s me.

Reality . . . no sunshine for me today . . . so what to do?

I am also a dreamer, a wisher, a not-giver-upper!  It is going to be a Do It Yourself kind of day!  I am going to head into my kitchen and make myself a cup of joe.  Coffee always is the friend to give me the jolt I need.  But not an ordinary cup of joe, oh no! Today I am making a cup of goodness to warm me up and make me feel all sunny inside. Thinking of all things Fall, why not make a cup of Fall deliciousness . . .

Pumpkin Spiced Latte

makes 1 delicious cup

1 tbsp pumpkin puree

1/2 cup milk

1 tsp brown sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice

Heat all ingredients in a small pot on stove top.

Pour into 1 cup of brewed coffee/espresso.

*Add additional cream (I added 1 tsp), more sugar if you like(sweet enough for me), foamed milk on top (hey, go crazy and add whipped cream) and a sprinkling of pumpkin pie spice!

Oh, how I wish you had smelly vision . . . the scent is divine!

I am actually seeing some blue up in the sky.  Could it be true that the fog is beginning to lighten?  Or am I just feeling a bit happier sipping this cup of yumminess?

Well, all I know is this Pumpkin Spiced Latte is making me fall in love with Fall!

To brightening a gray Fall day . . . one Pumpkin Spiced Latte at a time!  Hugs, M.
