I intend to come to this blog on Fridays to share what I call “A Friday Moment”. These moments will be a picture(s) and the words that I see through the picture(s). Simply said, “A Friday Moment is something I want to remember, something I want to pause . . . forever!” I wish for you to savor many moments too!
My children crossing the street . . . I am standing there watching and waving until I no longer see them. They are growing up . . . in their own time.
Many nights, I slip into their room just to say “I love you” one more time as they lay there sound asleep. Last night was one of those nights. But I stayed a bit longer . . . watching them dream. And I dreamed too . . . about all those “somedays” my children get to experience. That someday they will be filled with so much joy their eyes will shine, that someday they will feel so much sorrow their hearts will ache with pain, that someday they will run farther and faster then they ever thought possible, that someday they will dare to do what they never thought they could, that someday they will . . .
My love for my children leads me to my dream for them both . . . the dream that my children get to live life to its fullest! Motherhood is a powerful ode to the potential of love and life.
And someday in their own time they will go off into the distance . . . but if they look back they will see me standing there . . . smiling at them! This is “A Friday Moment” I am holding onto.
To love and life . . . one “someday” at a time! Hugs, M.
